"I am a printmaker and painter and with occasional forays into papier mache. I often use memories or feelings from my childhood in my work. Working as a printmaker, house structures and home building plans are useful starting stimuli for my designs. When making these papier mache houses, I use discarded or imperfect prints as the basis for the outer layer on the little buildings. These houses are numinous, but, although sometimes sunny and playful, they can also be suffocating as shelters. Although a native of Illinois, I have lived in New England for over forty years. I’ve shown my work in New England and abroad at the art museum in Eskilstuna, Sweden. My work is represented in corporate and university collections in New York, New England, Florida, and Sweden. Marriot Hotels, Ameri-Suites Hotels and Ritz Carlton hotels have bought many commissioned works for their hotel suites. I hold a B.A. degree from Vassar College, studied painting at Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College and have an M.S. in art education from the Massachusetts College of Art where I wrote my thesis on inner images (dreams and fantasies) and how the interplay between what is seen and imagined can be developed in art making. She has taught and lectured at New England museums, colleges and art associations and public and private schools. She has been particularly influenced by the psychology of C.G, Jung in relationship to his path breaking work in dream analysis and fantasy."
